Founded in 1915 , Citrus College is a public college , intended for students of both sexes , which offers programs for two years. It is the oldest community college in Los Angeles County and the fifth oldest in California. Citrus College enjoys the reputation of a small, friendly college with a student population of over 12,000 students. The campus is located in Glendora, a quiet community near the foot of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains.it is located approximately 26 miles northeast of the metropolitan city of Los Angeles .

Citrus College offers degrees at technical, college transfer programs , professional certificates and intensive program of English as a second language. Chandler- Gilbert Community College offers two-year programs with many labor and transfer options . At the age of 6 years , children in the United States starting in the Elementary School, to attend the first of six degrees that will culminate to complete basic education . Enrolling a child in an American public school is a fairly simple process.

There are no requirements regarding citizenship . The basic requirement is that the student and his representative living in the same district where the school is located . It will require some proof of residence such as apartment lease document , or phone bills or electricity. There will be a health requirement , as a recent test of medical examination or immunization.

The American academic structure also offers special courses for students who for some reason can not enter the regular system . The most common need refers to children who do not speak English .
