University Harvard


If there is a quintessential college in the United States that Harvard is certainly one of the most prestigious universities around the country and even the world. Moreover, founded in 1636, Harvard boasts the oldest university in the U.S., going from nine students in its origins to the present 18,000.

Among its graduates are very important characters to the story, not only of this country but for the history of mankind. A total of 40 Nobel Prize winners and seven U.S. presidents have gone through some of its faculties and schools, in any of its programs, which include both postgraduate courses and careers.

Mind, body , society, earth, space , technology ... all fields of knowledge has a specific research program .

This broad academic offerings would not be perfect if it did not possess good infrastructure which promotes the study among students. The Library of Harvard University is part of the Central Government department and is responsible for the coordination of about 90 libraries that make up the university library system . Among the services offered include system information and loan, deposit, Weissman Preservation Center , college file and the digital library.

Besides the libraries , note also the Art Museums Harvard University , internationally renowned and among those who are paintings of European and American artists , prints, photographs , arts of the Asian world , Islamic and Hindu , and an incredible collection of German Expressionist painters .
